Some of the most fun was spent roaming around the old round stone forts and abandoned castles along our route round the ring of Kerry. Cahergall and Leacanabiuule are partially restored stone forts dating from 500-600 AD. To read more about them, click on the links. Ballycarberry Castle near Caherciveen was especially fun to explore and has some beautiful views of the coastal area. Ryan especially enjoyed climbing the rocks and jumping over the various doorways.
