Hi. I was born in San Diego and was raised in Lakeside, California. I enlisted in the United States Army in 1974 and served at Fort Sam Houston, Texas as a Dental Prosthetic Laboratory Instructor until separating in 1977 to raise a family and advance my education. I graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in 1989. In 1990, during my Family Practice Residency, I was commissioned into the Air Force. I served tours at Edwards AFB, Aviano AB, Eglin AFB, Lajes Field, and Vandenberg AFB. Most recently, I spent five years in San Antonio first as Chief of Clinical Medicine for Air Education and Training Command and then as Chief of the Clinical Quality Division at the Air Force Medical Operations Agency where I provided oversight for clinical quality activities at all Air Force military treatment facilities around the world.
On May 23, 2009, Roger and I were married at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Schertz, Texas. In July 2011, I was assigned to RAF Lakenheath, England where I serve as Chief of the Medical Staff. Our home in the United Kingdom is 'lovely.' Roger and I are enjoying every possible opportunity to travel and explore as much of England and Northern Europe as time permits.
