We love our home! To the Northwest, we look out on pastureland toward the Little Ouse River. Salt and Pepper, our landlord's donkeys, contentedly graze and seem oblivious to the abundant wildlife. Geese, swans, ducks, cranes, pheasant and other assorted water and wild birds provide constant entertainment. The fields are also alive with rabbits, muntjac deer, and other creatures. A horse pasture borders us to the Southwest. An ancient wall borders a walking path leading to the village center and marks our Southeast property line. The fields make our property feel very private though a very short walk brings us out to High Street. High street includes restaurants, grocers, a vegetable market, bakery, hardware store, bank, several pubs, hair salons and other shops. We even have a local brewery! The train station and St Thomas of Canterbury Roman Catholic Church are a ten minute walk. Almost no need for a car.
